UMEME LTD ANNUAL REPORT

Having previously delivered several major reporting and communications projects for Umeme, I was entrusted once again to lead the complete design, art direction, and production of their Integrated Annual Report—an essential publication for the country’s largest power distribution company prior to the end of its concession in March 2025. This continuity allowed me to build a more advanced and cohesive visual system capable of presenting highly technical operational data, performance metrics, and regulatory content with clarity and precision.

I developed a grid architecture that supported complex tables, performance dashboards, operational diagrams, and narrative storytelling. The report’s structure relied on disciplined typographic hierarchy, functional colour coding, and spacious layout compositions that enhanced scanability and hierarchy across dense technical content. Custom iconography, clean data-visualisation styles, and carefully balanced white space helped translate engineering-heavy information into visually accessible content for shareholders, regulators, and technical audiences.

Beyond design, I managed the entire project lifecycle; from client briefing, content mapping, and stakeholder alignment to pre-press supervision, proofing, and final print production. My oversight ensured consistency, accuracy, and a seamless delivery across all stages of execution.
